Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration 7 Oct 2006

Hehehe...this is an account of our mid-autumn festival celebration we had @ Esplanade on 7 Oct 2006

After much discussion via email over where to meet to celebrate our YAM mid-autumn festival on 7 Oct, the location was still not confirmed even on the morning of the actual day itself. Finally, after bible study preparation in the afternoon, we managed to conclude on the location: Esplanade. Reason being, it is a central location and if the haze was very bad or if it were to rain, we will proceed indoors for our celebration.

Serene, Thommy, Daniel, Dominic, Tammy, Gary, Joshua and Cecilia met at 7.30pm at Max Brenner. Joshua also brought his new friend, Teresa, along.



Paul and I were late but once we arrived, we proceeded outside for our celebration. The babes all brought lanterns along and Paul was the official photographer of the event, taking snapshots of the babes' excitement.



We were attracting quite a few onlookers as there werent anyone else holding lanterns at Esplanade! However we couldnt be bothered. Well at least for the girls that is :) The guys were kinda embarrassed especially at our squeals as we prepared our lanterns. Serene has the cutest "Patrick" lantern that even a female passerby also commented: "Ooo, Patrick! So cute!" I bet Daniel was dying to hold "Patrick" so we decided to let him have his fair share of excitment. Check out his smile!










Thommy was, as usual, clowning around, trying his best impersonation of a ge-tai singer?

We finally got the guys to take a group picture with us.



After the phototaking, everyone was more warmed up to the celebration mood and we proceeded to light up our sparkles!


After playing with the sparkles for some time, Paul had a fascinating discovery with his camera. The photos that he has taken, captured some really nice effects of us playing with the sparkles.

Therefore we came up with the idea to form words with our sparkles. Check out the fabulous pictures and see whether you can figure out the words we created!!




After all the ooohs and ahhs at our really cool pictures, we sat down and ate the mooncakes that Joshua has so generously provided for us. We spent the rest of the night, chatting and taking more pictures! The haze did not deter us from spending the evening outside with friends and just enjoying each other's company. Enjoy the pics!
